The magnetic trigger ensures the automatic release of the swivel hooks for Winkhaus AV3 multi-point locks. The magnetic trigger is inserted into the strike plate of the main lock case. Please note that steel reinforcements in the door frame may interfere with the magnet. When the door is closed, the magnetic contact with the lock automatically triggers and engages the swivel hooks. The magnet has the advantage of preventing scratch marks or scraping noises when closing the door, which can occur with mechanical triggers.
